Here are the 4 samples that evelyn and I thought of for the layout of the grad book. I guess we can see which layout the majority would prefer (you can put your comments on the tagboard!). As for the cover of the grad book, we havn't really come out with a design yet.

InDesign class
As for the updates about the indesign lesson, 16 of them came and it went well. But one issue that we found out was the issue about downloading the indesign software because of liscensing issues. We will email the other creative heads from other courses to confirm the number of people in the editorial team so azhar can know how many liscenses to get.
Quotes from printer
Here are the quotations from the printer:
Azhar's recommended printer
Total number of books to be printed: 2600
Total cost: $34 080
Ashlyn's recommended printer (Winland)
Total number of books to be printed: 2600
Total cost: $16 910
We have forwarded the email to azhar so.. we are still waiting for a reply as to which printer we would be printing our book at.
That's all for now :)

Marketing
W.I.P ONE
Hello all, below are the very very draft slides of how the marketing campaign is gonna work. I'll consult the lecturers to see how we can tighten this campaign and continue to develop on this with my team. Will post up Draft 2 soon. As you can see, the 1 + 1 concept is applied here through the use of "doubles" in our deliverables. The messages that each medium portray will only make sense if they are used in doubles or more.
The idea highlights that we are so good and multidisciplinary that our employers would want to have 1 + 1 + 1 + 1.... they can't get enough of us. They are not satisfied with just looking at one SP designer.

For the art direction, my creative team and I felt that it should be something that it's not too complicated. We don't want to take the attention away from our works. Ultimately, what we want to show to the CDs are our works, right?
So for this, we thought of making use of double exposure in the shoot as it works with the concept, 1+1 as well. Basically the final product will be a layering of 2 photographs on each other, and one of each will be of one color. I attached the moodboard as above. I also tried to replicate a copy (the girl in polka dots dress), I realized that it's not a very easy process because we need to make sure the background is white, and the color blending could only be on top of the model. This simply means quite a lot of DI is needed. (Think 6 Diplomas) Also, only very contrasting colors would work.
Another approach is we don't color the photographs but just overlay the original ones. We could have the person dressed up differently or have props for one of the images.
